Days 20-22 – Weekend down and still going

Sorry for the sparse posting the last few days. I had a good weekend where I was able to stay on track with my juicing+liquid broth. As of the morning of my 22nd day I weighed 324.6! That is another two pounds gone, bringing my total to 28.2 pounds in 22 days. I have another 12 days left of fasting and I am hoping to get into the teens and in sight of sub 300 shortly after our vacation. I think another 6 pounds in my last 12 days of juicing is feasible as long as things stay as they are.

Day 19 at the Biggest Loser Resort in Utah.

It feels surreal that I only have today, tomorrow and Saturday and it is home to my family.  I have missed them ever since I left this time.  I am not sure I am cut out to be away for them more than a few days.  This trip to the resort has been challenging for me in a different way then the two other trips.  This time I came to the resort to try to get my head and feelings in order.  I did not come here to learn how to work out or prove that I can.  I did not come here to learn how to cook, or how or what to eat.  I came here to tackle the things that cause me the most problems, and those are the emotions and the why’s of my eating.

At home day 5: Things are looking up…

Well as mentioned in the last post when I weighed this morning I was down to 290.2. I am getting close to my all time low for this half of my life which is 279/280. Some great things the I have noticed is fitting in my old suit and I am down to the second to last hole on my belt (yes the one in the picture at the top of the site.)

14 days till resort: Long weekend, quick summary.

It was a good weekend as far as getting projects done.  My wife has graciously allowed me to turn the room off of our bedroom into an office for the two of us in lieu of a sitting room.  I spent a big part of the weekend assembling furniture and moving furniture. I ended up finding out we were missing some stuff so we made another pilgrimage to IKEA.

Day 28 post resort, A workout and a small binge…

The day started out great!  I took my son to school and my daughter to the gym.  I did a treading class that was more difficult starting at 10 minutes with 5 minute downtime then going 9,5,8,5,7,5,6,5,5,5,4,4,3,3,2,2,1,1.  It was a long workout but I burned 800 calories.  That was a great beginning to the day, but it did not finish on such a high note.

At home day 21, Wow three weeks home!

Hard to believe I have been home from the Biggest Loser Resort for three weeks already! Time seems to be flying. I am happy with the progress I am making. I am trying pretty hard to build a following for the blog and on twitter and having limited success, but that is ok. I am doing to to be accountable, and I think what I need is patience and more material. I am one of those people that wants to do everything at once and this undertaking is pretty huge. I want to do food reviews, study for my certification exam, do recipe posts. and even shoot making some healthier foods. How do I do all that with watch the kids and still blog? Good question, and I think the answer is slowly over time. It is just me doing all of this so I have to give myself time to do it.

At home day 17, Double treading is back, food is on point today, and I am heading to fitbloggin!


Today was a much better day as far as food went. I stayed on plan today and I made it to the gym. Score and score! I also went to my piano lesson (yes I am taking piano lessons with my kids,) took the kids to school, and found about an hours worth of time to do some work on the new blog at Starbucks for an hour. The only thing I have not been able to get today is studying my ACSM books.
