Week 4, Day 6 – Biggest Loser Resort Niagara

IMG_7694I went to stretch for the second day in a row today and I am really enjoying it. The trainer I have had is Mary Beth and it is a very relaxed atmosphere and the stretch also takes away any stress you woke up with. It really helped me out because all of the pool classes from the day before really tired me out and I was very sore.

Week 4, Day 3 – Biggest Loser Resort Niagara

IMG_7668I had the thought that I am going to run out of things to say about the food and workouts pretty soon. I have gone through all of the descriptions of both food and workouts and I have already had all the food from this week in my first week here. I missed the week two menu items. Just a warning from this point on if your are anxiously awaiting new and exciting foods. If I come back during a menu change I will make sure to mention it in this section.

Day 10: Biggest Loser Resort Niagara

IMG_7245A couple of really great things happened today, the first was that my ass did not hurt too much in spin class, and the second was a fun trip to Target. It is amazing that by my third spin class my ass is already getting to be numb enough to focus on the workout and not just enduring the pain. I was so excited by the prospect of enjoying spinning that I bought pants and shoes on amazon. I am not sure how big guy padded spandex bike pants are going to fair in the public eye here, but some may be jealous? If I can get into spinning then I know I have a great workout back home and a class that I can go to.

Days 6 and 7: Biggest Loser Resort Niagara

IMG_7209At this resort y0u are encouraged to weigh in every weekend to see your results and fix what you need to. I weighed in on Saturday morning and got the pleasant surprise of losing 12.4 pounds (19.10 body fat lost, 6.7 muscle gained) and 3.5% body fat. I have to say I was pretty excited and hope I can continue the downward trend aggressively my second and third weeks.

Day 5: Biggest Loser Resort Niagara

IMG_7152The day once again started off with me snoozing through stretch, but the extra sleep has been good for me.  Coming to the resort I have had some problems with snoring and waking up on and off, but all the working out here has made me sleep like the dead.  I woke up feeling pretty invigorated considering all the work I had put in throughout the week.  The best part of the day for me was knowing I was going on an offsite hike.  The offsite hike was at Letchworth State Park, and it was far better than I expected.

Day 4: Biggest Loser Resort Niagara

Along the hiking trailIt looks like I am going to be using my stretch time each morning to sleep.  I am still catching up on these blog posts and not waking up early like I should to keep it all fresh in my mind.  I will be completely caught up this weekend though.  Thursday my energy was up and I was definitely ready to go in the morning.  There was a good lecture on goal setting that changed the way I looked at some of my own goals.  Having our trainer explain that it is better to set weekly total minute goals for gym activities rather than number of days in the gym.  If you set up  total minutes you can always catch up at the end of the week by working out more and accomplish your goal.   If you had said you were going to go 5 days a week for at least 45 minutes and you were sick 3 days you have not left yourself much wiggle room since there are only so many days of the week.  I think that little tidbit will help me.

Breaking the fast and my stomach!

Well the last two days have been great as far as getting to chew food consistently once again. I never really knew how bad I missed it till I was able to masticate once again. I find it hard to believe that I have stil manage to lose a little over 1lb in these two days where I have reverted to solid food. I weighed in at 313.8 this morning, and I was 315 when my fast ended. To say that I am happy to still see the scale moving down would be an understatement. It is giving me confidence going into my vacation that I can maintain and maybe even add to my total weight loss. I am 39lbs down and getting ever so close to being out of the 300s once again (this time for good.) (Click Continue Reading for more)

Day 18 and 19 – Guess what?

No weight lost from yesterday. I did lose 2.4 pounds the day before so no complaints. I am fairly happy with how things are going at the moment. I have hit my stride with the reboot plan I have chosen. It is working for me and that is really what I need to plow through some of this fat that has taken refuge on my frame.
