Journal Update: Sunday and Monday are kind of a bust, but it is now on like Donkey Kong

So right now I may not have been as good as I should. I have had some pizza and I have had a rallyburger in the last two days. You know what though? I feel great and that is thanks to my friend Louis. I met Louis at the Biggest Loser Resort in Malibu when I went back for a week recently and he has help me a ton so far. We decided while talking this weekend to start a race to 250 challenge. I am about 5-6 pounds ahead of him but he is on a massive roll right now. I would highly recommend checking his blog out, he is a great writer and has a good way of communicating his story. He is the real deal when it comes to dedication and motivation. I should be really intimidated about going up against him considering his workout and diet regimen, but I just feel like I have something to prove now.

One thing Louis and I spoke about on the phone is how tough it gets once you lose enough that you become more comfortable.  I hit that point around 280-295, especially considering my cardiovascular shape right now.  I can move around great, chase the kids, and maintain the same weight by working out and eating whatever I want.  Sounds great right?  Wrong, I need to lose another 90 pounds to feel even better and actually get my health in order.  I know it is hard to believe that 290 can be comfortable, but compared to 365 it feels like a nice piece of heaven.  I have run into this before and eventually my training falters and guess what happens?  BOOM, back up to 350 in a couple months.  Not this time, Louis and I are heading to 250 in the next few months, and once he catches up to me at 250 (however long it takes you Louis, no biggie I will wait for you) we will do another race to get down to 200-220 or something.  We have not decided on a prize for me yet, but I am going to start looking around. =)

Anyway, aside from not doing so hot on food on Sunday and Monday, I did not go to the gym.  I did manage to go and play and hour and a half of tennis today with my friend Zack and burned a good amount of calories there as he ran my large ass around the courts.  Hopefully we will get to play again tomorrow, and I know I will be seeing my trainer tomorrow.  Onward and downward I say!  I am going to start measuring calorie/meals and trying to log my calories burned again just so I can keep on track and you can see the “how” I get to 250 faster than Louis.
