14 days till resort: Long weekend, quick summary.

Comments/Thoughts: (Friday-Sunday)

It was a good weekend as far as getting projects done.  My wife has graciously allowed me to turn the room off of our bedroom into an office for the two of us in lieu of a sitting room.  I spent a big part of the weekend assembling furniture and moving furniture. I ended up finding out we were missing some stuff so we made another pilgrimage to IKEA.  The good thing is I will have a good work environment at home to do my blog posts, and studying.  The bad thing is it is taking up all my blogging time to work on it when the kids or my wife are asleep.  She had to work two night shifts so I had to keep things quiet during the day.  Anyway, it is 75% done!  So I hope to finish it over the next few days and actually get to working in it.

I did get to go to a movie with friends this weekend.  We went to see Paul which was a fun dorky little movie.  It was about a couple of geeky guys from England who come to America to go to comic con out in San Diego and decide to tour UFO sites.  On the way they run into a crazy funny little alien (voiced by Seth Rogen) and hilarity ensues.  I had a good time at it, maybe worth checking out at a matinee if that is your sort of humor.

That was for friday and is the only stat I have currently.  For some reason the fitbit did not update, will have to look into that.

I have watch stats for Friday and Saturday:

Friday I burned a total of 1010 calories doing my couch to 5k program, and carrying furniture up the stairs.

Saturday I burned 786 calories doing a double treading class on the treadmill.

Sunday was no exercise other than walking around Ikea and shopping with my wife.


Over the weekend my exercise consisted of carrying desks and other furniture upstairs, assembling furniture, doing week 6 day 2 of my couch to 5k program, and doing a double treading class on Saturday.  It was a productive weekend as far as burning calories were concerned.  I would have liked to work out Sunday, but with all the driving around that was not in the cards.  Ikea is huge and we were in a hurry so that was a decent calorie burn there though!  It all counts right?


The good stuff this weekend was: Biggest Loser Simply Sensible Mediterranean Chicken meal, lots of Broccoli, Muir Glen Organic Chicken Tortilla Soup, Imagine Organic Corn Chipotle Bisque, Shirataki Noodles with turkey meatballs and marinara, a couple of Kind bars, Laura’s Lean Meatloaf dinner and a few others (many of these meals will be reviewed this week!)  I limited the bad stuff this weekend to: 4 tablespoons of Jif Peanut Butter, a bag of M&Ms at the movies, and dinner on Sunday since the kids were starving was two chicken breasts on a set of buns at McDonalds, no mayo, ketchup only (and the were grilled chicken.)  Still not the best because I know they pump their chicken full of liquid salt and sugar.  I could have done better, but I could have done much worse.  Overall I am happy with the food this weekend.  Now I just have to keep it going.  My goal is to get down to 290 before I get back to camp and I am currently at 297.  Seven pounds in 14 days is a challenge, but I am up for it.  I am excited about seeing the people there that are both my inspiration and my friends.  Such great people.
