17 days till resort: Catching up for two days in one…

Comments/Thoughts (Thursday 3/17/2011):

This is a two for one special I guess.  I have once again missed two days.  It has been mildly rough with highs and lows.  On Wednesday my wife and I went to IKEA and bought a ton of office furniture to convert our “sitting”  room off of the bedroom into a nice office for the two of us.  She has started picking up administrative duties at her work and I have been trying to get more professional with my blogging and new business ventures.

We used the opportunity to go on a date night and had a great little Outback Steakhouse adventure.  I am excited to get the office together and have a more formal place to work then the local Starbucks.

Wednesday overall was good but I did not workout because I was crazy sore of my kettlebell workout on Tuesday.  That bled over into Thursday and I am still recovery as I write this on Friday.  I will work out on Friday since I need to catch up and do my couch to 5k program.

Food has been more good than bad, but still too much bad…  I got down to 297 though, that is down from my December 23rd weight of 365!  I want to be at 290 at least by the time I go back to the resort so that I can get close to 280 and finally get back to where I was when I moved to Indiana.

I have to thank my kids both days for getting me to 7500 steps on these days.  Whether it was playing tag or going to music garten with my daughter they kept me moving.  It was good to actually be able to run so much I wore my son out and I still had some left in the tank….


Hmmm where to begin…  Good stuff was egg sandwich, turkey chili on baked potato, a great brown rice, scallop, veggie pseudo thai curry dish I created.  Bad stuff was too much at outback as far as bread went.  I had a filet and baked potato for my meal and that was good.  The blue cheese on my salad was bad.  I did go to Cracker Barrel, but was good for breakfast and had two eggs with turkey sausage.   Overall I would give myself a grade of C- for these two days.  I didn’t kill myself, but I did not do myself and good considering my inability to really put together a good workout.  SOOOO SORE!

      Sorry for the late reply. I am going to come up with some recipes and put them together in videos. I think the Thai recipe is going to be there.
