At home day 19, Kettlebells, and starting couch to 5k!

February 26, 2011

Comments/Thoughts:

It was a great day for working out considering I finally got to do kettlebells again.  That would have made for a great day, but I also started the couch to 5k program for running.  The best thing was realizing that I had started on week four day 1 instead of week 1 day 1.  It was great knowing I could still push myself further than I thought.  I really have to credit the Biggest Loser Resort and trainers that pushed me past my perceived limits.  I want to run a 5k in a couple of months with my wife and it feels like I am off to a great start.

Statistics:

I walked 9,939 steps and 5.8 miles and burned 3,767 calories via my fitbit http://www.fitbit.com/user/22B6S6

Watch calories burned: I wore it and the silly band but I did not start it!  I burned at least 600 calories

Exercise:

Already mentioned this earlier, but today I did 30 minutes of kettlebells with my wife, and did 30 minutes of the couch to 5k program plus an additional 20 minutes of walking/cool down.

Food:

Breakfast was some farm fresh eggs and toast.  Lunch was Biggest Loser Lasagna with Meat Sauce, chipotle corn chowder, and some steamed veggies. Last but not least was a turkey burger and fire roasted tomato soup with a chocolate cookie.
